Former Visa International global travel buyer and BTN 2022 Travel
Manager of the Year Kim Hamer and longtime BCD Travel and Areka Consulting executive

consultancy.

Based in Texas, the duo has attracted both corporate buyer
and travel supplier client pipelines, with about two-thirds falling into the
latter category as travel suppliers look to reshape their strategies to serve
the corporate travel market as complexities—particularly around content
distribution and attribute-based selling, personalization and artificial
intelligence—mount.

“We understand the value of traditional travel
management models, but we’re not trying to hold onto all of that,” Hamer told
BTN. “We
view the market as a whole ecosystem, and we want to help the whole ecosystem
navigate through this moment—because none of us have ever seen complexity in
our marketplace at this level.”

Hamer added that the owner-partners formed the
consultancy to harness their 50-plus combined years of experience in travel management, payments, meetings and expense management to help
clients “think more strategically” about the possibilities and create a better
vision for corporate travel, but also get into the weeds, if needed.

Results Plus will work on corporate travel program
engagements at a strategic level. It is not focused on deep sourcing and
implementation projects or outsourced program management. The supplier side
occupies the majority of the business. Both Hamer and Miller project it will
remain that way because of the “giant gap” they see in firms able to strategize
at that level with suppliers. The bigger picture for Results Plus, however, is
to stay flexible, have a collaborative mindset and to go where the market takes
them since so many pieces of the ecosystem are in flux.

“We’re less about competing, and we’re more about
just finding out who wants our help and helping them,” said Miller.

Early engagements include travel risk management, closing gaps in stalled
negotiations, redefining request-for-proposals processes and go-to-market plans,
and educating teams on how to harness change and prepare for the future. Results
Plus is also a founding member of the Garner Network, which specializes in
airline distribution challenges and travel technology company consulting.
