Skopje Airport registers passenger decline

Skopje Airport saw its passenger figures decline slightly in April on the same month last year. It welcomed 238.344 travellers during the month, down 0.4% on 2023. It comes as a result of Wizz Air’s network reductions, caused by the grounding of a significant portion of its Airbus A320neo-family fleet, which led to a 13.6% reduction in its Skopje flight capacity. In total, seat capacity was down 3% at Skopje Airport in April, despite a 22.4% increase in aircraft movements. During the January – April period, Skopje Airport handled 841.617 passengers, up 20.7% following a record first quarter.
