Aero Dili launches flights to Singapore’s Changi airport – Business Traveller

Aero Dili, the new flag carrier of Timor-Leste, has launched its second international destination.

On 24 February, Aero Dili launched a new weekly service between its base in Dili and Singapore with Airbus A320 aircraft.

The carrier will be the only airline offering service between Timor-Leste and Singapore’s Changi airport.

Aero Dili plans to increase the Singapore route to twice weekly services from April.

Dr. José Ramos-Horta, president of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, flew to Changi on the inaugural flight and joined the flag carrier and Changi for the welcome event.

Aero Dili commenced revenue operations five years ago. Singapore is its second international destination following Denpasar (Bali).

For now, the airline operates just a single A320 on its international services but plans to add a second Airbus aircraft in due course as its network continues to grow.

Its first A320 previously flew for Bangkok Airways and features 162 seats in an all-economy class cabin configured in a 3-3 layout.
