An Intimate Wedding at Borgo Bastia Creti With an All Black Dress Code

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Lush green, white and a total black dress code were the main themes of this elegant wedding.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]As the evening unfolds, imagine a long table draped in pristine white linen, highlighted by the opulence of gold accents and glass candelabras. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of white flowers, while crystal chandeliers illuminate the setting, casting a soft glow on the light green and white centerpieces that adorn the table.

Every detail, from the floral arrangements to the gold touches, creates a symphony of colors, blending the purity of white with the richness of green and gold. This intimate wedding promises a feast for the senses, where flowers and colors intertwine to paint a picture of romance and sophistication that will be etched in memory.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]After seven years of dating, our proposal story highlights exactly how much better Devyn knows me than I know myself. He faced quite a challenge. It was so important to me to have the perfect engagement ring and a thoughtful proposal, but also, that I also wanted the ring and everything else to be a complete surprise. He spent months hunting for the exact diamond, designing the setting, and then organizing the big moment. On that fateful day, I thought we were going to see a play at our favorite local theater. He had recently encouraged me into a handful of frivolous dress and high-heel purchases and now this would be the perfect night to dress up. As we neared the theater and began to pass our favorite coffee shop–a picturesque boutique with gazebo seating right on the lake–I suggested we make a quick caffeine stop to which he graciously complied. It was here that I got to say the easiest yes of my life! He booked a photographer who took the most beautiful shots of the moment. After oodles of photos here, we headed over to the beach for some golden hour pictures of some of the biggest smiles you’ve ever seen. The night ended with dinner at my favorite restaurant where he surprised me with our families, my best friends, and even my sisters who flew in from another state. Every detail was so carefully and thoughtfully curated; I am so blessed to be loved by such a man.[/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony:
– The mood: Perfect weather… overcast with just a few droplets of rain. The thunder rolled in the background of the ceremony creating the perfect dark, moody, and romantic atmosphere.
– Music: A single cellist; simple, clean, and romantic.
– Ring bearer: The bride and groom’s one-year-old Godson and nephew (on his first international trip!)
– Special moment: We elected for the “Warming of the Rings” where each guest held the wedding bands and said a short prayer or wish for the couple before the ring exchange. We also had each of our siblings involved in the ceremony as well–Prayers by the groom’s brother-in-law/best man and bride’s sister and a reading by the groom’s sister.

– We placed a handwritten Thank You note and a small welcome gift of snacks, tissues, makeup wipes, face masks, and mints in the rooms of each of our guests before they arrived–thanking them for traveling across the world for us and letting them know how excited we were the have them.
– The first evening, we welcomed everyone with a cooking class where we all learned to make traditional Italian pasta, ravioli, and swiss rolls [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]A special moment from the rehearsal dinner:
– As the last speech and to close the evening, the bride and groom stood up and took just a couple minutes to address each guest–telling each how impactful they were to their lives and their upcoming marriage as well as how much it meant to have them in Italy with them. It was a beautiful and surprisingly emotional moment for everyone.[/field]
