[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]This Italian Tuscan-themed wedding, had elements that reflected the rich culture and flavors of Tuscany, yet set right in the hearty of Wine Country. Viansa was the perfect venue with their rolling hills of vines, olive groves, and the most beautiful gardens reminiscent of a Tuscan landscape.

Our couple oped for an outdoor ceremony surrounded by grapevines and the most picturesque scenic views.

Their guests dinned on the outdoor terrace under the most romantic string lights with long family style tables lined with candles.

We wanted our wedding to feel personalized with elements that were sentimental and special to both of us. Of course, we wanted it to be beautiful and we were going for that true Tuscan inspired feel, but more than anything, we wanted this day to reflect us as a couple. The things we love, the people we hold dear, where we grew up, things we have grown to enjoy together and other unique touches that made our wedding unique and special to us.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]It was the most beautiful and romantic proposal, John proposed in my hometown at a winery on the hilltops of the Willamette Valley just before Christmas, which happens to be my favorite holiday!

The proposal was late in the afternoon, just as the sun begins to set over the valley. And it was perfectly planned l just before Christmas to combine the joy of the holiday season with the magic of the moment. There was touch of mist in the air which only enhanced the romantic atmosphere, creating such dreamy and magical ambiance. John lined a path of white rose petals to the most perfect proposal spot.

After the proposal, we got to celebrate with a glass of champagne and soak in one of the most memorable moments of our lives. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

We decided to design the reception space with long banquet-style tables for a communal and intimate feel, similar to traditional Tuscan gatherings. We chose a hand crafted menu featuring classic Tuscan dishes like bruschetta, pasta with truffle oil, and grilled meats with olive oil. Incorporating fresh and local ingredients were important to us and Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa did just that! We created signature his and hers cocktails which added the perfect personalized. HIS: A Spicy Margarita that was flavorful and zesty! A twist on the classic margarita, with an added kick of heat. HERS: A classic and refreshing Italian cocktail Aperol Spritz, of course! Late-night wood-fired pizza was a crowd-pleasing choice for us. We had a wood-fired pizza station right outside the Pavilion along with a Gelato Cart for the most perfect late night treat!

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

A true Tuscan wedding is often associated with rustic elegance and the natural beauty of its surroundings. When it came to flowers and decor for Ashley and John’s Tuscan-inspired wedding, we incorporated elements that reflected the region’s charm, including Viansa’s picturesque landscapes, vineyards, and warm color palette. Ashely and John’s florals were a mixture of roses, peonies, with touches of greenery like olive branches which allowed us to create a loose organic look that stayed very true to the natural beauty of Viansa Sonoma.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Neither Ashley or John are huge cake people, so offering an assortment of Gelatos and late night espressos made more sense! They did however keep their guests in mind and Fleur de Lisa Cakes designed a 2 Tier red velvet cake for those cake lovers to enjoy!
