Valentine’s Day Cocktails
Need something to put in your cocktail glasses and stir with your swizzle sticks?
Here are a few of my favorite Valentine’s Day cocktails from our archives. Be sure to pin your favorites so that you can find them easily when you’re ready to mix one up!
Supplies You’ll Need
Bamboo Skewers. I initially used long wooden bamboo skewers like these when I made this project. But these days there are so many more options! I think these clear plastic drink stirrers would look very cute with this particular project.
Pompoms. Here’s a great assorted bag that you can keep around for various projects. Pull out your favorite colors to create a palette that you like for the drink stirrers.
Glue Gun. If you’re a frequent maker, I recommend getting a good glue gun for your craft supplies.
Scissors. This set of scissors makes nice crisp cuts and comes in three sizes.
How to Make Valentine’s Day Drink Stirrers
- Use the scissors to trim your bamboo skewers to your desired length.
- Use the glue gun to attach various pompoms to the top end of each skewer. Vary the arrangement and number of pompoms on different skewers for a fun effect.
- Trim all glue strings and be sure your skewers are free of any splinters. Pop them in your drinks and serve!
More Valentine Ideas
I love how they kind of look like bubbles! They look particularly fun in a fizzy pink drink, like our Rosé Prosecco Cocktail.
And if your guests are smart and remember which stir stick is theirs, these can even double as drink markers!
I love the idea of making some cocktails and having a Valentine’s Day crafternoon with your friends — you could make these paperweights or valentine garlands.
Hope these bring some fun into your day!
xoxo
